HBSE · Haryana · Class 10

A personal mentor for Haryana Board Class 10.

The Class 10 year in Haryana carries more weight than the marks suggest — it decides the stream, and the stream decides most of what follows. The students who lose out are usually not the weak ones. They are the capable ones who never got into a daily rhythm.

What this is

How it works for Haryana Board students

This is mentorship, not tuition. The mentor does not teach chapters — the mentor plans the year, sets the day's targets, checks the same day whether they happened, and tells you the truth about how it is going.

The pattern we see most often in Haryana Board students is a strong start and a fade by the second month. It is almost never about ability. It is that nothing in the week forces a check, so a missed evening costs nothing until the unit test six weeks later makes it a crisis.

Mentoring runs over call and WhatsApp in Hindi or English, so a student in Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Rohtak, Karnal or a village joins on identical terms.

Subjects

Where students actually lose ground

The mentor does not teach these — but the plan is built around the kind of work each one genuinely needs.

Mathematics

Small daily practice, not weekend marathons. Consistency shows up in marks here faster than in any other subject.

Science

Numericals, equations and recall are three different kinds of work and get three different kinds of target.

Social Science

Postponed because it reads easily, and then forgotten because it was only read once.

Hindi

Steady writing practice moves marks here faster than almost anywhere else in the paper set.

English

The most avoided paper for Hindi-medium students. Started early, in very small daily pieces.

The year, mapped

A plan built backwards from the exam dates

This is not any individual student's plan — every plan is written around that child's own position. It is the frame the real one is built inside.

  1. August – September

Syllabus mapped chapter by chapter and each marked strong, shaky or untouched. The shaky ones go first.

  2. October – November

Two or three small daily targets, with the week's misses caught inside the same week.

  3. December

Backlog closes before revision season begins.

  4. January

Pre-boards and the first full revision pass; the plan is rewritten around whatever they expose.

  5. February

Revision, past papers and confidence only.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

Can the mentoring be in Hindi?

Yes — Hindi or English, whichever the student is more comfortable thinking in. The check-in only works if the child says what is actually going on, and that happens in their own language.

Our child is in an English-medium private school. Does that change anything?

Only the language, if you want it to. The planning, the daily targets and the follow-up are identical regardless of medium.

When should we start?

As early in the session as possible, because habits take weeks to settle. Joining after the half-yearlies still helps, since that is when backlog planning and revision sequencing matter most.
