Mentoring is a conversation, not a classroom. It happens over call and WhatsApp, which means a student in Lucknow, Patna, Jaipur, Pune or Guwahati gets exactly the same mentor, the same plan and the same daily follow-up as a student living down the road in Indore.
The short version
My Mentor is a one-on-one online academic mentorship program for Class 10 students across India. A dedicated mentor builds the student's study plan, tracks their daily targets, speaks with them every two to three days, and sends parents progress updates that say something useful.
There is no live class to attend and no fixed batch timing. The mentoring itself takes a few minutes a day — confirming what got done — plus a longer conversation twice a week. That is deliberately light, because the student's real study hours belong to their school, their coaching and their own desk. The mentor's job is to make sure those hours actually happen.
It is not tuition and it is not an online coaching batch. Nobody re-teaches a chapter. If your child is already paying for coaching, this does not replace it — it is what makes that coaching pay off.
Why distance stops mattering
The honest test of a remote program is whether anything is missing. Here is the full list of what is not.
Not a junior assigned to out-of-city students. The same person who mentors an Indore student mentors yours.
Targets are set and checked on WhatsApp. Geography changes nothing about whether a target got done.
Mentoring runs in whichever language your child thinks in. Most state-board students are mentored in Hindi.
Calls are scheduled around their school and coaching, not around a batch. Different city, different timetable, no problem.
Written progress updates, not a phone call you have to chase. They read the same in Patna as in Indore.
The study plan is keyed to your board's exam calendar and paper pattern, not a generic CBSE template.
How it runs remotely
From the first call to the first week of mentoring is usually three or four days.
Fifteen to twenty minutes on the phone with you, wherever you are. We work out what is actually going wrong — backlog, no plan, distraction or confidence — and tell you honestly whether mentorship is the answer.
A separate conversation with the child, not about the child. Where they really stand, subject by subject, and what they have quietly given up on.

Two or three items a day on WhatsApp, small enough to finish. What got done is confirmed the same day.

For mentorship specifically, yes — and that is not a hedge. Mentoring works through conversation and follow-up, both of which travel perfectly over a phone. What genuinely needs a room is teaching a chapter on a board, which is not what this program does. Where distance would matter is if your child needed someone physically sitting beside them to start studying, and no program of any kind fixes that.
Any city in India. The mentor is based in Indore, but the program runs entirely on call and WhatsApp, so the student's location does not change anything about how it works. Students from small towns often benefit most, because good one-on-one guidance is hardest to find there.
Hindi or English, whichever the student is comfortable in. Most students on Hindi-medium state boards — UP Board, Bihar Board, RBSE, MP Board — are mentored in Hindi. Currently we are not able to mentor in Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Odia or Assamese, so if your child studies in one of those mediums we will say so honestly on the call rather than take you on.
Calls are scheduled per student, so it makes no difference. India has one time zone, and the conversation is booked around whatever your child's day already looks like.
No. A phone that can take a call and run WhatsApp is enough. Nothing here needs video, a stable broadband line or a device your child has to share with the rest of the family.
